Silver lining in a bad economy?

With most businesses experiencing negative trickle down economics, there is a boom in expert source placements, especially in real estate and financial services. If you are in these sectors, the wealth of second-day stories relating to the current financial crisis means you are in demand as a media source nationwide. It's not great pay--in fact there is usually no pay at all. But the visibility means ROI for your business. You can take that to the bank.

Another successful conference

It appears Jim DePelisi has got some branding going on. His conference Tuesday evening packed the Embassy Suites in Boca Raton. That bodes well for his upcoming events, IMHO. Read more here.

Huge turnout for first day of "Spring Break for Wall Street"

Congrats to Ft. Lauderdale investment advisor Jim DePelisi. I don't have an accurate head count yet but I would guess in excess of 500 attendees (there are rumors of 800) for the first night of The Growth & Value Investor Conference. One guest told me he had to wait in line for twenty minutes at the registration table. That's a good problem to have. Hopefully, we'll see a similar turnout Thursday.
